Ubharte Sitaare Fund (USF) is a Category II AIF registered in July 2021 and managed by SIDBI Venture Capital Limited (SVCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SIDBI (the Small Industries Development Bank of India). The fund was launched by the Hon'ble Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on 21 August 2021 and achieved its first close on 16 March 2022 at ₹285 crores. It is co-sponsored by SIDBI and the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank). The fund's objective is to identify and invest in manufacturing and services enterprises currently in domestic markets looking to enter foreign markets, as well as existing mid-sized exporters aiming to scale up — effectively developing them into India's champion exporters. USF invests primarily through equity and equity-related instruments in unlisted companies, and also aims to provide mentoring and strategic support to investee companies. Portfolio investments include Covalense Digital Solution (first investment, ₹25 crores), Serosoft Solutions (₹30 crores), OmniBRx Biotechnologies (₹30 crores), Nourish You (₹16 crores), and Vahdam India (₹25 crores). SVCL, incorporated in 1999 (CIN: U67190MH1999PLC120866), has managed multiple sector-themed VC and PE funds over its 25+ year history.
