Insightful Investment Trust (IN/AIF3/24-25/1511) is a SEBI-registered Category III AIF managed by Insightful Investment Managers LLP. The fund scheme is 'Insightful Flexicap Fund.' Anil Shah co-founded the firm with Vijay Shah. Anil brings over 35 years of Indian capital markets experience. He started as an equity research analyst at DSP Merrill Lynch. From 1996 he spent about 16 years at ABN Amro Asia Equities in Institutional Sales, Head of Sales, and Head of Equities for India. He then joined Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC in 2012 as portfolio manager, where he served as Co-Head Equities and Senior Portfolio Manager, managing ABSL Flexicap Fund, Midcap Fund, Gen Next, and Manufacturing Fund, with a combined AUM of approximately INR 25,000 crore. The fund proposes to invest across 25–35 stocks and is sector and market cap agnostic. The investment style is research driven with focus on basics of investing: quality of business, management, and valuations. The fund targets long-term, surplus funds with no explicit lock-in or exit load, and sends quarterly update reports to investors. The Cat III open-ended structure allows systematic and disciplined portfolio management using the founders' deep AMC and institutional equities experience.

Vijay Shah is a commerce graduate and Chartered Accountant with an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai. From 2009 to 2024, he served as Executive Director, Head of Advisory and Sales, Wealth Management for Credit Suisse India, initially joining as an Investment Counsellor advising HNIs on diversified investment portfolios across asset classes, eventually ascending to Head of Advisory and Sales in senior management.
