Equity Intelligence (EQ PMS) offers a focused Portfolio Management Service where a unique portfolio of typically 10–12 stocks is curated for each client based on the timing and quantum of their investments. Unlike the common industry practice of proportionally allocating model portfolio shares irrespective of price, EQ follows a proprietary daily model portfolio approach that is price conscious and aims to mitigate the risk of overpaying for any stock. The investment objective is long-term capital appreciation through disciplined equity investing. Investment decisions are driven by a long-term, bottom-up approach rooted in classical value investing principles, while selectively incorporating growth, momentum, or event-driven strategies where appropriate. Investments are made exclusively in listed Indian equities, with a predominant focus on small and mid-cap stocks where value opportunities are identified. The Nifty 50 serves as the comparable benchmark, and investee companies are continuously monitored with periodic validation of the original investment thesis.

Porinju Veliyath is the Founder and Managing Director of Equity Intelligence India Private Limited and Fund Manager for both EQ PMS and EQ India Fund (AIF). He has 30+ years of equity investing experience and is widely acknowledged as one of the most successful and influential investors in Indian capital markets, often called the 'small cap czar' by mainstream media. Before founding EQ in 2002, he had an illustrious decade-long career at Kotak Securities and Parag Parikh Financial Services. He is a prominent exponent of value investing in India and has a large following on social media. He is a graduate of Govt. Law College, Cochin.

A Chartered Accountant with nearly two decades of expertise in finance, accounting, and taxation, Abhilash anchors the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring compliance and seamless functioning. He possesses deep knowledge of corporate governance, corporate law, and financial and management accounting.
Anoop Nambiath
A passionate follower of value investing, Mr. Anoop brings a thorough understanding of accounting and investing fundamentals along with an eye for detail in analysing companies. Before joining Equity Intelligence, he worked with Moody’s Analytics (then Amba Research) and Tata Consultancy Services. He is a CFA charter holder from the CFA Institute USA, holds a PGDM (Finance) from IMT Ghaziabad, and is a Bachelor of Electronics and Communication Engineering from GEC Thrissur.

Ramakrishnan V
A market veteran with nearly three decades of experience in equity investing, Mr. Ramakrishnan brings sharp acumen in identifying multi-bagger investment ideas early. Prior to Equity Intelligence, he was Vice President for Institutional Sales at Kotak Securities Ltd., spending 22 years in sell-side equity research, and has also worked with Canbank Mutual Fund. He holds a Master's in Financial Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Kerala University.

A bottom-up investor by nature, he applies the same disciplined approach to both investing and life. Prior to joining Team EQ, he worked with Ernst & Young and KPMG. He is a CFA Charterholder and a certified FRM from GARP, USA, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baylor University, Texas.
