Building the future of healthcare.
W Health Ventures is a Mumbai and Boston-based healthcare-focused investment firm founded in 2021 by Dr. Pankaj Jethwani and backed by Sunil Wadhwani (founder of iGate). The firm operates a 'found and fund' strategy — co-founding and building generational healthcare companies from scratch alongside investing in early-stage digital health startups in India and the US. W Health Ventures Trust II (Fund II) is a SEBI Category II AIF managed by W Health Ventures GP LLP (LLPIN: ACL-1197). Fund II targets a corpus of ₹609 crore (~$70 million), building 8–10 new healthcare companies over four years in partnership with 2070 Health, India's first healthcare venture studio. W Health's investment thesis focuses on two themes proven by Fund I: single-specialty care delivery platforms that address clinical white spaces in India, and AI-enabled B2B healthcare services companies bridging India and the US. Fund II's first portfolio company is Everhope Oncology, co-founded with Narayana Health. Fund I portfolio companies including Wysa, BeatO, Mylo, BabyMD, Nivaan, and Reveal HealthTech have collectively served over 25 million patients globally.
W Health Ventures believes that the most pressing healthcare challenges require purpose-built companies designed around clinical innovation and scalable, technology-first operating models. The firm identifies underserved clinical and operational white spaces, assembles founding teams, and co-creates companies from inception — blending investment capital with operational support through shared playbooks, partnerships, and its venture studio platform 2070 Health. Key investment criteria include validated clinical outcomes, founder-mission alignment, and long-term intrinsic value creation over near-term valuation.
