Elev8 Capital AIF (officially branded as Elev8 Venture Partners) is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (reg. IN/AIF2/22-23/1123), registered in September 2022. It is a $200 million (₹~1,600 crore) sector-agnostic growth-stage technology fund, with a greenshoe option, co-founded and led by Navin Honagudi alongside Venture Catalysts co-founders Dr. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Anil Jain, CA Anuj Golecha, and Gaurav Jain. Elev8 targets growth-stage technology companies at Series B and Series C rounds, with typical ticket sizes of $5–15 million, focusing on companies with demonstrated product-market fit, resilience through market downturns, and strong founders. Venture Catalysts — India's leading early-to-growth stage investing platform with a portfolio of 400+ companies and $500M+ in AUM — is the institutional anchor and backer of Elev8, its fourth fund alongside 100Unicorns, Beams Fintech Fund, and Spyre PropTech Venture Fund. Investment Philosophy

Elev8 Venture Partners invests in growth-stage companies where the risk-reward asymmetry is most attractive — companies that have demonstrated product-market fit, resilience during downturns, and have strong, founder-led management teams capable of navigating market conditions. By entering at Series B and C, Elev8 considerably reduces the binary risk of early-stage investing while still capturing significant value creation upside. The fund leverages proprietary data-driven algorithms in its investment framework to provide LPs strong visibility into capital deployment strategy. Navin Honagudi

Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Elev8

Navin Honagudi is the lead co-founder and Managing Partner of Elev8 Venture Partners. Prior to starting Elev8, he was a Partner at Kae Capital for over a decade, investing in 50+ companies across consumer internet, enterprise, fintech, edtech, and healthtech. He started his career in the corporate venture arm of Reliance. He is also the SEBI-designated contact person for Elev8 Capital AIF.

Dr. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma

Co-Founder & President, Venture Catalysts / Elev8

Dr. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Venture Catalysts++. He holds a PhD in Management from Amity Business School and a diploma in mentoring startups from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. A former EVP at VentureNursery and charter member of TiE Global, Dr. Apoorva identified a critical gap in India's integrated startup incubation landscape and co-founded VCats in 2016. Under his leadership, VCats has backed 300+ startups and built a global investor network of 6,000+ angel investors. He is responsible for investment strategy and portfolio management across the VCats platform.

Anil Jain

Co-Founder, Venture Catalysts / Elev8

Anil Jain is Co-Founder of Venture Catalysts and a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in real estate, public markets, and private investing. He is also Co-Founder of Wallfort Properties and the General Partner of Spyre PropTech Venture Fund — India's first PropTech-focused VC. At VCats, Anil leverages his extensive industry contacts to grow the investor and entrepreneur network.

Anuj Golecha

Co-Founder, Venture Catalysts / Partner, Elev8

Anuj Golecha is a Co-Founder of Venture Catalysts and a Chartered Accountant with expertise in deal structuring and portfolio management. He is a Partner at Banshi Jain & Associates (BJAA) and Co-Founder of Samyakth Capital, India's first hybrid growth fund. He has made notable angel investments in BharatPe, Fynd, Beardo, and PeeSafe, among others.

Gaurav Jain

Co-Founder, Venture Catalysts / Elev8

Gaurav Jain is Co-Founder of Venture Catalysts, where he drives the firm's thesis around technology-driven startups, particularly in SaaS and fintech. He holds educational credentials from Stanford and has a background as a former executive at Reliance Private Equity. At VCats, he is responsible for investment strategy and portfolio development.
