UV Asset Reconstruction

UV Multiple Assets Investment Trust (UVMAIT, SEBI Reg. IN/AIF2/18-19/0655) is a Category II AIF registered in March 2019 and managed by UV Strategic Advisers Private Limited (UVSAPL), the investment management arm of the UV Group — a Delhi-based financial conglomerate specialising in the stressed assets market. UV Group operates primarily through its flagship entity UV Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (UVARCL), an RBI-registered ARC engaged in acquisition and resolution of stressed assets from banks and financial institutions, alongside a non-banking financial company. UVSAPL was incorporated in 2017 to provide professional investment management services to alternative investment funds. The firm is managed by a team of professionals, entrepreneurs, and former bureaucrats with over 100 years of combined experience across various industries. UVMAIT has launched one scheme: the UV Special Situation Fund (launched March 2019, initial closing November 2021), a ₹250 crore + ₹250 crore greenshoe fund targeting stressed and special situation assets in India via equity, quasi-equity, mezzanine debt, security receipts, and IBC acquisition processes.

UVSAPL seeks investment opportunities across sectors and geographies in India, with a focus on generating stable yields through high-quality stressed assets. The UV Special Situation Fund targets companies experiencing financial stress or distress, or showing distress potential, and invests in assets available at attractive prices with turnaround potential. The firm believes India's stressed assets market — estimated at $115–120 billion — offers a unique long-term opportunity, particularly as the IBC framework enables faster resolution and greater transparency.
