UC Impower Trust is an early-growth-stage impact private equity fund managed by Unitus Capital Private Limited (UC), India's leading impact investment group. Co-founded by Eric Savage and Kylie Charlton in 2008, Unitus Capital has raised more than US$5 billion for impact businesses and has been repeatedly ranked the #1 Indian investment bank by Venture Intelligence. Eric Savage
Co-founder and CEO
Eric Savage co-founded Unitus Capital in 2008 and serves as its CEO. He has led UC in raising more than US$5 billion for impact businesses and also co-founded UC Impower. Previously, Eric ran Citigroup's Asian investment banking franchise in power and infrastructure, based in NYC and Hong Kong for 14 years with Citigroup/Salomon Brothers. He is a graduate of Duke University (cum laude) and Harvard's Kennedy School (Lucius N. Littauer Fellow). He was named Indian Expat Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014 and received the Indira Gandhi Sadbhawana Award in 2016.
Abhijit Ray
Co-founder and Managing Director
Abhijit Ray co-founded Unitus Capital and has nearly 20 years of experience in development finance, commercial banking, and microfinance. Previously, he was an AGM at SIDBI overseeing its microfinance portfolio in Andhra Pradesh, and started his career with the State Bank of India. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Kolkata University and is a Certified Associate of IIBF.
Kylie Charlton
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Kylie Charlton co-founded Unitus Capital in 2008. She has worked at the intersection of impact investment, mainstream capital markets, and philanthropy since 2004. Previously a Vice President at Citigroup's Project and Structured Finance Group, she is also CIO of Australian Impact Investments and lectures on impact investment at UNSW and UWA. She holds an MBA from the Saïd Business School, Oxford.
Ann Short
Chief Operating Officer
Ann Short joined Unitus Capital in 2008 with over 25 years of experience in financial services. She previously served as COO of Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Securities and was an Executive Vice President at NASD (now FINRA). She began her career at Morgan Stanley, rising to Managing Director, and was based in Hong Kong and Beijing from 1994–97. She holds an MS from MIT Sloan and a BA from Wellesley College.

Vikas Sarda
CFO
Vikas Sarda is the CFO of Unitus Capital, having joined in 2009. He leads the finance and operations team, including finance & accounting, investor reporting, and cash management. He has over two decades of experience spearheading finance functions and managing alternative funds, including UC Impower. He is a Chartered Accountant with Honours in Commerce from Delhi University. Prior to Unitus, he worked with Max New York Life Insurance and WNS.

Managing Director
Amit Kumar Rathi is a Managing Director at Unitus Capital with 20+ years of post-qualification experience, including 15 years in PE/VC investing and M&A. He was part of the founding team at TVS Capital Funds and has worked with Elevar Equity and the World Bank. He is a Chartered Accountant and CPA (Michigan).
