Tata Asset Management Private Limited (TAMPL) was established on 15 March 1994 and is one of India's oldest and most respected asset management companies, with over 30 years of track record in investment management. It is a part of the Tata Group — one of India's largest and most respected industrial conglomerates, renowned for its adherence to business ethics. TAMPL manages investments of Tata Mutual Fund, a mutual fund registered with SEBI, and also offers Portfolio Management Services (PMS) to high-net-worth individuals (SEBI PMS registration: INP000001058, active since 14 September 2004) and advisory services to offshore investors/funds investing into India. The firm manages funds across the entire risk-return continuum — equity, hybrid, fixed income, and commodity funds — serving over 100 locations across India. TAMPL is the only AMC in India to adopt the Malcolm Baldrige model (USA) for business excellence. Shareholding: Tata Sons Ltd. holds 67.91% and Tata Investment Corporation Ltd. holds 32.09%.
