Sanjay Nayar is the Founder and Chairman of Sorin Investments. He previously served as CEO of KKR India (which he set up in 2009, leading it for over a decade) and as CEO of Citigroup's India-South Asian operations. He is a member of NISM (SEBI's National Institute of Securities Markets), served on the first AIF committee led by Narayan Murthy under SEBI, was President of IVCA, and served on EMPEA's board (2015–2019). He is also a General Partner at Peak Sustainability Ventures, Chairman of Grameen Impact Investments India, and Senior VP at ASSOCHAM. He received IVCA's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
