Incorporated in 2007, Securities Investment Management Pvt. Ltd. (SiMPL) is an investment management firm promoted by Mr. Rajashekar Iyer. The firm manages equity portfolios for clients with the aim of long-term wealth creation. It is licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India as a Portfolio Manager. SiMPL began accepting clients for its portfolio management service in September 2009 under the Deep Value Portfolio (now called SiMPL Multi Cap Value Portfolio). In 2023-24, it launched another PMS product, the SiMPL Small Cap Value Portfolio.
SiMPL follows a value investment philosophy. The firm believes that listed equities as an asset class have provided, and continue to provide, the best avenue for long-term wealth creation. Stocks are selected using a bottom-up approach, generally ignoring market outlook expectations except where they are reflected in prices. The firm focuses on two core principles: carefully considering the quality of what is bought and conservatively evaluating the value of what is bought.
