SEAF India Agribusiness Fund II (SEBI Reg. IN/AIF2/15-16/0156) is a Category II Alternative Investment Fund managed by SEAF India Investment Advisors Private Limited, the Indian investment management entity established by SEAF (Small Enterprise Assistance Funds) — a Washington DC-headquartered global impact private equity group founded in 1989 and operating across 33+ countries with over $1 billion in aggregate committed capital. SEAF's India agribusiness strategy launched with the SEAF India Agribusiness International Fund (SIAIF) in 2010, structured as a Mauritius-domiciled offshore vehicle managed by SEAF Investment Management Company (SIMC). The domestic onshore vehicle — managed by SEAF India Investment Advisors Private Limited and structured as a scheme of the SEAF India Investment Trust (trustee: IL&FS Trust Company Limited) — is registered with SEBI. The fund targets promising SMEs across 33+ identified sub-sectors of India's agribusiness value chain, including animal nutrition, seeds/agri-biotech, specialty foods, spice processing, dairy, and fast food. Portfolio companies have included Abhay Cotex (animal nutrition, expanded to Tanzania), Himadri Foods (spices), and Guha Roy Food Joints. SEAF India was also raising a larger $150 million third agribusiness-focused fund as of 2015. The SEBI-registered address for the fund's domestic operations is at Dindoshi, Malad East, Mumbai — consistent with a local operations office.
