Scient Capital Alternative Investment Fund (SEBI Reg. IN/AIF2/17-18/0355) is a Category II Alternative Investment Fund managed by Scient Capital Private Limited (CIN: U65923MH2015PTC269290), a Mumbai-based quant-driven multi-asset management firm. Founded in 2015 by Swapnil Pawar — formerly of Boston Consulting Group and Karvy Capital — Scient Capital manages a suite of PMS and AIF products underpinned by its proprietary 'Quantamental' approach, combining quantitative models, data science, and machine learning with fundamental credit and equity research. The AIF launched its flagship impact strategy in August 2017, focused on mid-yield private credit ('India Emerging Credit Opportunities Fund'), complementing its earlier PMS products including the Aries mid-yield debt strategy (2016), Aquila multi-asset strategy (2016), and Zen high-grade debt strategy (2019). In 2022, the firm received an institutional investment from TIW Capital Group, a global asset management company, which took a stake in Scient to expand the firm's AI/ML-driven investment capabilities. Total AUM for Scient's PMS and AIF products crossed the ₹100 crore milestone in May 2019. The firm is registered and operates from H-532, Kanakia Zillion Building, BKC Annex, Kurla West, Mumbai 400070.
