Founded in 1944 by Mr. Prabhudas Lilladher Sheth as a stock broking company, the PL Group has evolved into a full-service financial platform offering equity and derivative broking, investment banking, PMS, corporate advisory, research, and alternative investments. The PL Capital Trust serves as the vehicle for PL Asset Management's maiden Alternative Investment Fund — the PL Capital Performing Credit Fund — a Category II private credit AIF targeting INR 500 crore (with a INR 500 crore greenshoe) to provide structured private credit to India's fast-growing mid-market corporates. The fund focuses on secured debt to listed and unlisted companies across sectors (excluding real estate), targeting UHNIs, HNIs, family offices, and institutions seeking capital protection and regular income. Samir Satyam is an accomplished finance professional with 25+ years of experience in investments and lending spanning promoter financing, special situations, and alternative investments. He previously served as Investment Director at Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors Ltd (managing a USD 900 million Special Opportunities Fund), Head – Structured Finance at Hero Fincorp Ltd (managing a INR 4,000 crore book), and Business Head – Capital Market Lending at Bajaj Finance Ltd and Cholamandalam DBS Finance. He holds a PGDBA in Finance from ICFAI Business School and a BA in Economics from Ramjas College, Delhi University. Samir is the SEBI-registered contact person for PL Capital Trust.

Amisha Vora is the Chairperson and Managing Director of the PL Capital Group and a board member across all PL Group entities. She is one of India's leading women entrepreneurs in the financial services sector. Her association with PL began in 2000 as Vice President – FII Sales. In 2006 she became Joint MD of the Group and acquired a 24% equity stake. She subsequently acquired majority control and now holds approximately 96% stake in the PL Group, becoming the sole owner following a buyout. She is a Chartered Accountant by qualification with over 35 years of capital markets experience. She is a member of the CII Capital Markets Committee (5 years) and serves on the board of the Association of Portfolio Managers of India (APMI). She is also an Independent Director on the Board of Prince Pipes and Fittings. She has received several prestigious awards including the Rashtriya Udyog Ratan Award for Corporate Leadership, the Annual Impact Creator Award from the Governor's office and Government of Maharashtra (2021), the Business Today Most Powerful Women in Business Award (2025), and the Jamnalal Bajaj Fair Business Practices Award (2024). She is a highly sought-after opinion maker in India's capital markets and is frequently featured in leading financial media.
