Old Rice is a boutique asset management firm founded by Chartered Accountants Ankur Maheshwari and Soniya Maheshwari, committed to compounding investor wealth over the long term through rigorous research, vigilant monitoring, and unwavering emotional discipline. The firm primarily invests in listed equities — emphasising superior business quality, exemplary governance, sustainable growth, and reasonable valuation — and also offers Portfolio Management Services (PMS). The flagship AIF scheme, 'Old Rice India Opportunities Fund', was launched on 8 July 2025 as an open-ended Category III AIF with a flexible, multi-asset strategy. The fund's sponsor is Old Rice Holding India Private Limited. Old Rice's values are articulated as Integrity, Wisdom, and Passion.

Old Rice follows a flexible investment style backed by diligent research. Ankur Maheshwari

Founder & Fund Manager

Ankur Maheshwari is the Founder and Fund Manager of Old Rice. He is a Chartered Accountant with 14 years of professional experience, having led and managed businesses across India's manufacturing, infrastructure, and power sectors. Prior to founding Old Rice, he was an active investor and SEBI-Registered Investment Advisor. He is also the SEBI-registered contact person for the fund.

Soniya Maheshwari

Co-Founder, Head of Equity Research & Client Relations

Soniya Maheshwari is a Co-Founder of Old Rice. A Chartered Accountant with 13 years of experience in finance, she leads equity research, client relationships, and human capital management at Old Rice. She co-founded the firm alongside Ankur Maheshwari.
