India's First Media & Entertainment Credit Fund
NV Capital Trust is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund managed by N V Associates LLP (LLPIN AAV-3414), India's pioneering Media and Entertainment Credit Fund. Founded by ex-bankers Nitin Menon and Vivek Menon — both former senior members of Yes Bank's Media and Entertainment Financing group, where they collectively deployed in excess of INR 700 crore across over 40 projects — NV Capital launched its maiden fund in June 2021 with a target corpus of INR 500 crore. The fund invests in the rapidly growing Indian Media and Entertainment sector, providing structured debt and credit to content creators, OTT platforms, gaming companies, and entertainment start-ups. With close to 1,500 movies released annually in India and the rapid proliferation of OTT platforms, NV Capital identified a significant funding gap for content creators who require capital without equity dilution. The fund operates from WeWork Vaswani Chambers, Worli, Mumbai. The sponsor of NV Capital is Jayantilal Gada, Chairman and Managing Director of Pen Studios, one of India's leading integrated studios with over 35 years of experience across film production, distribution, movie aggregation, broadcasting, digital media, and visual effects.
NV Capital was established on the conviction that the Media and Entertainment sector is an underserved alternative asset class offering compelling risk-adjusted returns. The fund leverages the founders' two decades of domain expertise in entertainment financing to evaluate content IP value, streaming monetisation, and ancillary revenue streams. NV Capital seeks to establish a financial institutional framework to aid the growth of content creators and entertainment start-ups by providing structured credit that is aligned to the cash flow dynamics of content monetisation.
Nitin Menon
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Nitin Menon is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NV Capital. A Chartered Accountant with more than 18 years of experience in corporate banking and investment research, he was instrumental in building and positioning his previous organisation as the market and thought leader in the Media and Entertainment Banking practice at Yes Bank. He is also described as the founder and CEO of an AI-based global entertainment company (in stealth mode as of 2025).
Vivek Menon
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Vivek Menon is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NV Capital. A management graduate with more than 16 years of experience in banking and finance, he has rich experience in deal origination, financial analysis, and credit assessment in the Media and Entertainment industry. He previously worked at Yes Bank where he was part of the Media and Entertainment Financing group. He is the SEBI-registered contact person for the fund.
