Wealth Creators and Nation Builders.
Navbharat Capital Trust (IN/AIF3/24-25/1700) is a SEBI-registered Category III AIF and the Indian AIF vehicle of NAV Capital — a Dubai-based wealth management and investment firm regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) — managed in India by NAV Capital Ltd. The fund operates under the brand NAV Bharat Investment Opportunities Fund, launched in January 2025 with a target corpus of INR 500 crore. This is NAV Capital's first offering to resident Indians. The fund is sector-agnostic, targeting small and medium Indian businesses with high growth potential, primarily focusing on pre-IPO opportunities and strategic growth capital across banking and financial services, consumer goods and retail, chemicals and materials, technology and innovation, and infrastructure and logistics. NAV Capital was founded in Singapore/Dubai and has built its investment track record through the NAV Capital Emerging Star Fund, a Singapore-based FPI focused on Indian listed equities, which grew to approximately INR 700 crore AUM and delivered 180% returns in 20 months. The firm's investment approach is akin to private equity in public markets — engaging with investee companies through governance and business development support without board interference. Vineet Arora, Managing Director and CIO, built the firm's AUM from USD 10 million to over USD 150 million within four years. Registered office: 5W, 5th Floor, The Metropolitan Building, E Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai 400051. India operational office also at Ahmedabad (Bodakdev).
NAV Capital's investment philosophy centres on identifying well-managed companies with a unique product or service offering and strong management acting as prudent custodians. The approach mirrors that of private equity investors operating in public markets — opening up the firm's ecosystem to investee companies to derive synergies and best practices without the strings of board seats or business interference. Thorough research encompasses business model assessment, product and service evaluation, target markets, industry dynamics, financial health, and promoter/management background. The firm focuses on qualitative and quantitative balance — leveraging an origination team and sector experts to underwrite business models. Key red flag: any promoter/management focused on valuation rather than business creation. For the NAV Bharat AIF, the strategy targets SMEs in India that are pre-IPO or at strategic growth capital stages, with ticket sizes in the INR 25–100 crore range, deploying INR 500 crore across 8–12 companies. The overarching belief is that India's MSME sector — 700,000+ companies forming the backbone of the economy — presents a multi-decade compounding opportunity at a fraction of the capital required for large-cap investing.
