Nakshatra Special Situation Fund is a SEBI-registered Category I Alternative Investment Fund (reg. The Sponsor of the fund is Nakshatra Asset Ventures Limited (NAVL), a Nagpur-based stressed asset resolution and corporate advisory firm that also sponsors a second AIF: Nakshatra Stressed Assets Fund (Cat II, IN/AIF2/22-23/1046). The Special Situation Fund is a Category I AIF with a corpus of ₹100 crore, focused on the acquisition of stressed assets — non-performing loans, NPL portfolios, distressed debt, and special situations arising from insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. Investment Philosophy

Nakshatra's investment philosophy is rooted in the growing stressed asset resolution ecosystem emerging from India's Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) framework. NAVL, as sponsor, brings a team of insolvency professionals operating through Nakshatra Insolvency Resolution Professional Limited (IPE) — offering services from restructuring procedures to liquidation under IBC. The Special Situation Fund targets: acquisition of stressed assets from banks and ARCs, providing liquidity solutions to sellers while generating value through operational and financial restructuring. The sister Cat II fund (Nakshatra Stressed Assets Fund) focuses on growth-stage and unlisted companies with scaling challenges — deployed across two schemes including Nakshatra Bharat Vantage Fund (₹500 crore, launched August 2024). Together, the two AIF vehicles form a comprehensive stressed-asset-to-growth-capital investment platform for eligible investors.
