Lares Alpha Scheme (IN/AIF3/13-14/0103) is a SEBI-registered Category III AIF managed by Lares Softech Private Limited — a quant-based proprietary trading, algo trading, and hedge fund management firm headquartered in Delhi NCR (Noida, Uttar Pradesh), with offices in Singapore and Dubai. Lares Softech was established in 2006 (some sources indicate the founder began in 2009) by Maya Sharan Singh, an entrepreneur and pioneer of algo trading in India. Mr. Singh holds a postgraduate degree from IIM Nagpur in Finance and Technology. The firm later rebranded to 'Lares Algotech' and 'Lares Fintech' across different business lines. Maya Sharan Singh is the Founder and Director of Lares Softech Private Limited (also known as Lares Algotech and Lares Fintech). He is a pioneer of algo trading in India and holds a postgraduate degree from IIM Nagpur in Finance and Technology. Previously worked as Assistant Branch Manager at Indiabulls dealing in equity and derivatives instruments. He began his entrepreneurial journey to combine human intellect with artificial intelligence for investment management. Under his leadership, Lares grew from a startup to a multi-million dollar business with global presence.
