About

Karnataka Information Technology Venture Capital Fund 2 (KITVEN Fund-2 / KITVEN 4 AVGC) is a SEBI-registered Category I Alternative Investment Fund (Venture Capital Fund) (reg. IN/AIF1/25-26/1883), registered in August 2025 and managed by Karnataka Asset Management Company Private Limited (KAMCO) — a state and central government-promoted fund management entity established to manage the KITVEN family of venture capital funds since 1999. The manager entity's colloquial SEBI label 'KITVEN 4 AVGC' reflects this fund's investment focus on the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector — introduced at Bengaluru GAFX 2024, India's largest AVGC industry gathering, by the Government of Karnataka. The fund has a target corpus of ₹20 crore and invests ₹50 lakhs to ₹1 crore per company initially, with follow-on investments up to ₹2 crore. Investments take the form of equity, preference capital (convertible/redeemable), debentures, or combinations, with a typical investment horizon of 3–5 years. KAMCO brings decades of ecosystem expertise, government relationships, and a track record of 100+ portfolio companies across all KITVEN fund vintages.
