Managed by Jamwant Ventures
SEBI-encouraged funds — venture capital, SME, social-impact and infrastructure. Close-ended, generally unleveraged.
Jamwant Ventures Angel Fund is a SEBI-registered Category I Alternative Investment Fund (Angel Fund) (reg. IN/AIF1/23-24/1474), registered in March 2024 and managed by Jamwant Ventures LLP — a New Delhi-based defence and deep tech angel fund founded by veterans of the Indian Navy. The fund focuses exclusively on defence, aerospace, material sciences, and deep tech startups at pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages, with ticket sizes of ₹50 lakhs to ₹400 lakhs. The fund achieved full subscription at first close and is expanding its size to enable wider participation. It is headquartered at Room No. 6, 1st Floor, IHFC, Vishwakarma Bhawan, IIT Delhi Campus, New Delhi – 110016. The fund has invested in 5 companies to date (as of Oct 2025), including TIEA, SpaceFields, ThrustWorks Dynetics, AeroNero, and Green Aero Propulsion, and most recently co-led a $789K seed round for ThrustWorks Dynetics alongside Piper Serica. The name 'Jamwant' is drawn from the mythological character Jambavan — the veteran who reminded Hanuman of his own powers — reflecting the fund's philosophy of reminding startup founders of their own strengths to cross the ocean of challenges.
