India's first micro-fund backed by top global founders.
AL Access Trust is a Category I AIF (Angel Fund) operated by Utsav Somani, the founder and CEO of AngelList India and General Partner of iSeed — India's first and largest solo-GP micro-fund. Launched in 2018, AngelList India became the most active seed investor in India with over 700 investments. The trust operates as the SEBI-registered vehicle through which iSeed deploys capital into early-stage Indian technology startups. iSeed has two funds (iSeed I and iSeed II) with a combined AUM of approximately $100M, alongside the Galaxy fund. The registered office is at E1/12, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi 110057.
iSeed's investment philosophy centers on backing early-stage Indian technology founders at an average check size of $150K–$250K per company, with a sector-agnostic but tech-focused mandate spanning SaaS, fintech, healthtech, logistics, e-commerce, and consumer internet. Utsav Somani looks for founder-market fit and founders with grit going after very large markets or creating entirely new opportunities. A defining feature of iSeed is its LP base — carefully selected global founders and operators (including Naval Ravikant, Babak Nivi, and founders of Xiaomi, Stripe, Rippling, Thumbtack, Flutter, and WikiHow) who serve not just as capital providers but as knowledge partners and Silicon Valley bridges for portfolio companies. iSeed does not participate in follow-on rounds, preferring to remain a pure seed-stage partner. The fund is designed to give Indian founders institutional-grade access at an angel cheque size.
