Gaurav Sharma
Gaurav Sharma joined Investcorp in 2019 and currently serves as the Head of India Investment Business. He has over 28 years of experience in both the US and India, spanning entrepreneurship, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and investment banking. Previously, Gaurav co-founded Prime Gourmet Private Limited. Before that, he was the Director of Providence Equity Partners' India office. He also worked as part of the investment banking teams at Deutsche Bank and Wachovia Capital in New York. Gaurav began his career as the Founder and CEO of Trinayana Auto. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from IIT Delhi.
Anshuman Goenka
Anshuman joined Investcorp in 2019 following the acquisition of IDFC Alternatives. He has over 26 years of experience across private equity, consulting, and investment banking. Previously, he was Head of Private Equity at IIFL Wealth & Asset Managers. He began his career with BCG and Andersen Consulting. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, an MBA from ISB Hyderabad, and a BA from St. Stephen's College. He is a CFA charterholder.
Varun Laul
Varun Laul joined Investcorp in 2020 and brings over 23 years of experience across private equity, investment banking, consulting, and consumer marketing. He previously worked at Zodius Capital and Providence Equity. He holds an MBA from ISB Hyderabad and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
