About

India SME Investments AIF Trust II (IN/AIF2/23-24/1433) is a SEBI-registered Category II AIF managed by India SME Investments LLP (LLPIN AAM-7114), the second fund from India SME Investments — an India-centric private equity firm with a mission to support small and medium businesses. Founded by Mitin Jain (Founder & MD) and Adit Dawda (Co-Founder & Director), India SME Investments manages 15+ investments across healthcare, consumer, fintech, and B2B services. The firm operates from Kingston Tower, 8th Floor, Flat 802, G.D. Ambekar Marg, Tank Road, Parel, Mumbai – 400012 (confirmed as registered address on Zauba Corp MCA records). The team has 14 members. Notable portfolio companies include PolicyBoss (InsurTech, INR 1,500 crore annual premium), Beato (diabetes management), and Ecozen (cold chain/agri-tech). The firm was featured in 'Most Active Investors: PE' in the Tracxn India FinTech H1 2023 report.

Investment Philosophy

India SME Investments adopts a differentiated grounds-up approach to investing in SMEs — taking significant minority stakes in companies with sustainable business models and strong cash flows. The investment thesis identifies businesses that are scalable and profitable, often overlooked by larger PE funds focused exclusively on large-cap plays. India SME Investments acts as a partner to SME founders, providing capital alongside strategic guidance on governance, scaling, and eventual exit paths (IPO/M&A). The fund focuses on healthcare, consumer brands, fintech, and B2B services sectors.
