IIFL Venture Fund (IN/AIF1/12-13/0017) is one of India's earliest SEBI-registered AIFs, registered as a Category I Venture Capital Fund on 19 November 2012 — making it Fund #15 in the entire SEBI AIF registry, registered just 6 months after SEBI's AIF Regulations came into force in May 2012. The fund was managed by IIFL Asset Management Limited (IIFL AMC), a part of the IIFL Wealth group — now rebranded to 360 ONE Asset Management Limited in April 2022. The original registered address was 8th Floor, IIFL Centre, Kamala City, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel (W), Mumbai – 400 013. The original SEBI contact was Leena Palkar (leena.palkar@indiainfoline.com; +91-22-4007 7032 / 9869007960). The IIFL AMC AIF archive site (archive-aif.iiflamc.com) carries the historical record.
As a pioneer Category I Venture Capital Fund, IIFL Venture Fund was established to invest in early-stage Indian enterprises at a time when SEBI was just launching the AIF regulatory framework. The fund represents IIFL Wealth's early commitment to the alternative investments space, which subsequently expanded to include Category II PE funds, Category III listed equity hedge funds, and offshore strategies under the 360 ONE / IIFL Asset Management umbrella.
