Funding partner for your enterprising dreams
The Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes (VCF-SC) is a SEBI-registered Category II AIF managed by IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited (IVCFL) on behalf of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The fund is designed to promote entrepreneurship and economic self-reliance among entrepreneurs from Scheduled Caste communities by providing concessional debt financing to viable and scalable business ventures. With a total corpus of ₹726.51 crore, VCF-SC extends financial support to SC entrepreneurs across manufacturing, services, and technology sectors, complementing access to capital with mentorship and institutional guidance. IVCFL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IFCI Ltd. and India's first development finance institution, has been the designated investment manager since the fund's inception in 2015. The scheme also encompasses the Ambedkar Social Innovation Incubation Mission (ASIIM), a sub-component that supports innovative SC-led startups. VCF-SC is part of a broader suite of government-backed inclusion funds managed by IVCFL, which also administers the Venture Capital Fund for Backward Classes, the Senior Ageing Growth Engine Fund (SAGE), and the newly launched Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Tribes.
GIVF-II continues IFCI Venture's legacy of green investing, building on its predecessor Green India Venture Fund (GIVF, INR 220 crore, investments in CDM projects and clean technology). The fund targets commercially viable companies operating in environmentally beneficial sectors, providing growth capital to companies that contribute to India's clean energy and sustainability goals.
