Investment Philosophy

The fund invests primarily at Series A through Series C stages — providing not just capital but deep domain expertise and networks from a team with corporate technology backgrounds. Exfinity's LPs include strategic corporate investors (including Hero Foods as an LP in Series III), which gives portfolio companies access to industry relationships and GTM support.

Founding Managing Partner

Shailesh Ghorpade is the Founding Managing Partner of Exfinity Venture Partners. He has 23+ years of experience in Project & Corporate Finance, M&A, Strategy, and Private Equity Real Estate across Financial Services, Energy, IT, and Real Estate sectors. Prior roles include senior positions at Birla Global Finance, Tata Finance, Infosys Technologies, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Before founding Exfinity, he was CEO & Co-founder of Azure Capital (boutique real estate PE fund) and Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at Suzlon Energy (#3 globally in Wind Energy at the time). Chinnu Senthilkumar

Managing Partner

Chinnu Senthilkumar is Managing Partner of Exfinity Venture Partners with decades of experience across global technology ecosystems. He held Technical Executive roles at SanDisk (now Western Digital), Intel, and Texas Instruments in the US and India, and served as Country Head of SanDisk India (R&D, Sales & Marketing, and IT partnerships). He is an Investment Committee Member in India's DLI Scheme (USD 10B PLI initiative), received the National Technology Award from the President of India in his college days, and holds 9 US patents in semiconductors and hardware systems. MSEE from University of Utah; B.E. from Guindy Engineering College, Anna University. Portfolio companies: Akridata, Awiros, Chara, CloudSEK, Kinara.ai, Log9, Pixis, Qritive, Ati Motors.

Balakrishnan V

Chairman

Balakrishnan V (Bala) is Chairman of Exfinity Venture Partners. He was CFO of Infosys Limited from May 2006 to October 2012, and Secretary & SVP Finance from 2001 to April 2006. He served as a full-time Director on the Board of Infosys from June 2011 to December 2013, and as Head of BPO, Finacle & India Business Unit. He also has expertise in Corporate Finance, International Taxation, Risk Management, and M&A, and has received the 'Best CFO' award from CNBC and Finance Asia.
