Shailesh Rao

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Shailesh Rao is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of EscapeVelocity. He has 20+ years of experience as a senior technology executive. He was a founding team executive for Google Maps and Google Earth globally, led YouTube's international expansion, and was a senior executive at Twitter. He was also at Yodlee (embedded finance platform, backed by Sequoia and Accel). His angel/early investments include Moglix, Kristal.ai, Spinny, Omaze, Iterative Scopes, Raena, Ula, Klub, Sun Mobility, BigSpring, Rephrase.ai, Nykaa (Series D/E), and LivSpace (Series C).

Madhav Tandan

Co-Founder & Managing Partner; SEBI Contact Person

Madhav Tandan is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of EscapeVelocity and the SEBI-registered contact person for EscapeVelocity Trust. He spent 8+ years at Omidyar Network, where he sourced, evaluated, and managed investments in emerging technology. Prior to that, he spent 7 years in technology investment banking across multiple geographies with Citigroup and Credit Suisse. He holds a Masters from the University of Oxford.
