About

Elevar I-IV AIF is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (reg. IN/AIF2/18-19/0545), registered in May 2018 and managed by Elevar Equity India Advisors LLP — the Indian investment management entity of Elevar Equity. This is the first and earliest SEBI-registered Indian AIF vehicle from Elevar (Funds I-IV), predating the EE-Fi AIF (IN/AIF2/21-22/0927, registered Sep 2021). Both share the same manager entity (MGR_00267), confirming they are managed by the same Elevar Equity India Advisors LLP. 'Elevar I-IV' represents a consolidated AIF trust covering Elevar's first four fund vintages (Fund I through Fund IV) — all of which invested in financial inclusion, education, healthcare, and livelihood companies across India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Notable portfolio companies include Ujjivan Financial Services (India's first microfinance IPO), Varthana, LEAD Group, CureBay, Nuvemshop, and others. Yamini Dwarakanath is the SEBI-designated contact person for this vehicle.

Investment Philosophy

Same as EE-Fi AIF — Elevar Equity's 'Human Centered Capital' philosophy: investing in entrepreneurs building inclusive, affordable, and massive-scale products for underserved Entrepreneurial Households. The fund applies the Elevar Method, which requires deep customer research and active partnership with portfolio companies to drive outcomes for low and middle-income customers. The firm is recognised as a pioneer and global thought leader in impact investing.
