EE-Fi AIF is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (reg. IN/AIF2/21-22/0927), registered in September 2021 and managed by Elevar Equity India Advisors LLP — the Indian investment management entity of Elevar Equity, a pioneering impact investment firm founded by Sandeep Farias and Johanna Posada. 'EE-Fi' stands for Elevar Equity Financial Inclusion. Elevar Equity fuels the economic resilience and vibrancy of underserved customers and Entrepreneurial Households by investing early growth capital in entrepreneurs building at the intersection of inclusivity, affordability, and massive scale. The firm has been investing since 2006 and has backed 60+ companies across India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, including Ujjivan (India's first microfinance IPO), Varthana (education loans for private schools), LEAD Group, CureBay, and Coverfox. Elevar is headquartered in Bengaluru with offices in Seattle and Latin America, and is a recognized pioneer in impact investing globally.

Investment Philosophy

Elevar Equity's philosophy is 'Human Centered Capital' — investing in entrepreneurs building products and services that are inclusive, affordable, and massive in scale. The firm focuses on Entrepreneurial Households (EHs) — low and middle-income families that are active economic participants, not passive aid recipients. Elevar applies the 'Elevar Method': deep customer research to understand the lives of underserved communities before making investments, and active partnership with portfolio companies to improve outcomes for customers. The firm is investment style-agnostic in terms of sector — spanning microfinance, health, education, housing, and mobility — but deeply conviction-driven in terms of customer focus and social impact metrics.
