Helping founders build valuable companies
Micelio Investment Trust (officially known as 'Micelio Technology Fund I') is a SEBI-registered Category I Alternative Investment Fund – Venture Capital Fund (IN/AIF1/19-20/0748), registered on November 22, 2019, and managed by Axilor Investment Advisors LLP (LLPIN: AAK-7787). The fund is dedicated to investments in the Clean Mobility sector — electric vehicles, EV infrastructure, battery technology, sustainable transportation, and allied cleantech segments. Micelio is a specialised fund within the Axilor Ventures ecosystem, which was co-founded in 2014 by iconic Infosys co-founders Kris Gopalakrishnan (S. D. Shibulal), S. D. Shibulal, and Srinath Batni, along with Ganapathy Venugopal (CEO) and Professor Tarun Khanna (Harvard Business School). Axilor runs a broader seed and early-stage investment platform from its JP Nagar, Bengaluru headquarters. Micelio's clean mobility investments are led by Alok Sood (Principal at Axilor), who has previously worked at Unitus Capital's Clean Mobility practice. The fund co-manages the Axilor Technology Fund II (IN/AIF2/22-23/1176) under the same manager entity. Notable portfolio companies include Kinetic Green, TrijN (material solutions), Euler Motors, Svitch, Log9 Materials, Ziptrax, and Altigreen.
Axilor takes a thesis-driven, sector-focused approach at the fund level while going deep at the sector level — betting that the best early-stage investors are those who combine thesis conviction with active portfolio support. The core belief is that 'capital does not create value, founders do' — Axilor's role is to make the Seed-to-Series A journey easier through capital at founder-friendly terms, talent acquisition support, industry expertise, tech partnerships, and a 400+ founder community. Axilor goes wide at the fund level but deep at the sector level, maintaining vertical-specific expertise in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, agritech, climate-tech, clean mobility, and supply chain. The firm also runs Axilor Labs — an initiative that incubates innovative deep-tech and IP-led ideas from scratch at the intersection of innovation and impact.
