Specialist Emerging Markets investment manager — India.
Ashmore India Investment Trust (SEBI Reg. IN/AIF3/23-24/1424) is a Category III AIF managed by Ashmore Investment Management India LLP (AIMI), the India arm of Ashmore Group plc — a London-listed specialist Emerging Markets investment manager with $50B+ AUM globally and 30+ years of EM experience. AIMI was established in Mumbai in 2016 and is a partnership between Ashmore Group plc and the local India investment team, which has been an integral part of Ashmore's global equity team since 2006. The fund's scheme is named the Ashmore India Opportunities Fund. AIMI manages India-focused investment funds and renders investment advisory services to Foreign Portfolio Investors and institutional investors overseas, with total AUM of over $2 billion. The fund is headquartered at Units 206–208, 2nd Floor, Ceejay House, Plot F, Shivsagar Estate, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai 400018. Contact: investors@ashmoreindia.com
Ashmore's India investment philosophy is rooted in a deep conviction in Emerging Markets as a structural long-term opportunity, and in India specifically as one of the most compelling EM equity stories. The India team combines a macro top-down view with rigorous bottom-up stock analysis, seeking investments in high-quality Indian companies with strong governance, sustainable competitive advantages, and long-term earnings growth potential. The approach is research-intensive and conviction-driven — the team has worked together since 2006 and brings continuity and depth to its India equity process. Ashmore Group's broader EM philosophy holds that emerging markets are chronically underweighted by global investors relative to their economic weight, creating persistent valuation opportunities for disciplined long-term investors.
