Astral Indian Equities Fund (SEBI Reg. IN/AIF3/22-23/1138) is a Category III AIF managed by LK Advisers — the Mittal family's London-based regulated investment management vehicle — operating through its India presence at 81, Maker Chambers III, 223 Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021. The fund is the India-domiciled vehicle of Arteqin Capital Limited (formerly Artian Investments), a London-based global asset manager founded in 2021 by Aditya Mittal (CEO of ArcelorMittal, son of Lakshmi Mittal) and Amit Lodha (18-year Fidelity International veteran and CFA/ACA). The name 'Arteqin' is derived from 'the art of equity investing' and 'Indian', paying homage to the heritage of its founders. The fund focuses on Indian public equities, leveraging Amit Lodha's deep India equity expertise honed across two decades of global fund management. Arteqin is authorised and regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority; LK Advisers Limited (the Mittal family office) acts as an umbrella investment management platform. The fund's SEBI contact, Amit Lodha, also led the transaction on behalf of Aditya Mittal in the acquisition of the Boston Celtics NBA franchise.
