Arcus Opportunities Fund (SEBI Reg. IN/AIF2/12-13/0021) is a Category II AIF registered in December 2012 and managed by Arcus India Advisors Private Limited (CIN: U93000MH2012PTC228829), one of India's earliest SEBI-registered private credit and alternative investment managers. Founded in Mumbai in March 2012 by Debi Guha — a former senior investment professional at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) — Arcus was established to bring institutional-grade private debt and structured credit capabilities to the Indian market. The fund invests across structured debt, mezzanine financing, and private credit opportunities, targeting mid-market companies that seek bespoke financing solutions not readily available through conventional banking channels. Debi Guha also co-founded TwoDotSeven, a credit analytics firm, reflecting the team's quantitative and analytical approach to credit underwriting. The firm's registered address has shifted over time from its original Worli office (Nirlon House) to Level 11, Tower B, Peninsula Business Park, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
Arcus invests in credit-oriented strategies across private equity, structured debt, and mezzanine financing. The fund applies rigorous credit analysis informed by deep experience in distressed assets, securitisation, and project finance to identify private debt opportunities with attractive risk-adjusted returns. The strategy targets mid-market companies seeking bespoke financing solutions not readily available through traditional banking channels, leveraging Debi Guha's background spanning infrastructure, real estate, and cross-border structured credit transactions across South East Asia, India, and Australia.
