About

Arali Ventures is a Bangalore-based pre-seed and seed stage venture capital fund investing in B2B enterprise technology companies. Founded in 2018 by Rajiv Raghunandan, the fund focuses on startups building products and solutions for SME, mid-market, and enterprise customers in India, Southeast Asia, and developed markets. Arali brings hands-on operational experience in enterprise business building and supports founders through product-market fit and beyond. The fund is run by a team of former enterprise practitioners from firms including IBM, Infosys BPO, State Street, Deloitte, and Maersk.

Investment Philosophy

Arali invests at pre-seed and seed stage in B2B enterprise technology companies — especially those addressing AI agents, Industry 4.0, fintech infrastructure, B2B marketplaces, healthtech, and developer tools. The fund seeks founders with strong business acumen, resilience, and a customer-first mindset. It prefers a concentrated portfolio approach with high ownership targets, investing $0.5M–$1M initially, and provides high-touch support on hiring, GTM, pricing, partnerships, and fundraising without micromanagement. The firm does not invest in consumer companies or businesses lacking a credible path to defensible differentiation.

Rajiv Raghunandan

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Rajiv Raghunandan is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Arali Ventures. He has over two decades of experience in corporate finance, business consulting, outsourcing, and technology, having built and managed a $100M P&L. His career includes leadership roles at Arvind Garments, Arthur Andersen, Infosys BPO, and InfraHedge (a State Street subsidiary), where he built a reporting and compliance technology platform for institutional investors in alternative assets. He founded SeedX, a boutique advisory firm for early-stage fundraising, before launching Arali as a seed fund in 2018. He holds a PGDM from IIM Bangalore and degrees in accounting and management accounting from ICAI. He also runs Hejje, a not-for-profit focused on senior citizen care and children's education.

Arun Raghavan

Partner

Arun Raghavan manages emerging tech, Industry 4.0, developer tools, and B2B marketplace investments at Arali. His corporate career spans technology, business consulting, and sustainability, with roles at Sonata Software, Deloitte, Infosys BPO, and IBM, where he advised Fortune 500 enterprises, sold multi-million dollar engagements, and managed tech acquisitions. He co-founded REIMAGINED, a sustainability-focused upcycling brand, and was instrumental in setting up Fairtrade in India. He holds an MBA from NIT Trichy and a Bachelor of Arts from Osmania University.

Svetha Ravi

Partner

Svetha Ravi manages Analytics, AI, data ecosystem, and retail tech investments at Arali, and leads ecosystem-building initiatives. She is an Analytics and AI professional with over 14 years of experience in big data analytics, business consulting, and setting up captive analytics units. She has worked with TEG Analytics, Maersk Group, Genpact USA, and Symphony Services, leading strategy, marketing, and business analytics functions. She holds a Master's degree in Econometrics and Analytics from the Madras School of Economics.
