Alchemie Ventures Fund is a Category III AIF and the SEBI-registered investment vehicle of Alchemie Ventures — the single-family office of Chandrakant Gogri, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Aarti Industries Limited (NSE: AARTIIND), one of India's largest specialty chemicals conglomerates. The fund is based out of Udyog Kshetra, Mulund West, Mumbai — the same corporate campus that houses Aarti Industries group companies including Alchemie Speciality Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. Alchemie Ventures invests selectively in high-growth, cash-flow-positive mid-market companies across energy, manufacturing, construction, and technology. Its first publicly disclosed investment was a $4M Series A lead in Prozeal Infra Engineering (now Prozeal Green) in March 2023, India's largest Solar EPC fundraise in over two years at the time. The fund co-invests alongside the related entity Aarem Ventures, also part of the Gogri family office ecosystem.

Investment Philosophy

Alchemie Ventures invests selectively in high-growth and cash-flow-positive companies, with a current focus on climate change technologies and India's energy transition. The fund prefers mid-market investments — companies with proven business models, strong operational fundamentals, and clear paths to scale. It is not a conventional VC fund chasing early-stage bets; rather, it brings long-term, patient capital anchored by the Gogri family's 40+ years of experience building and scaling large industrial businesses. Sector priorities include renewable energy (solar EPC, decarbonization), manufacturing, construction, and technology. The fund leverages the Aarti Industries Group's deep industry relationships and operational expertise to add value beyond capital.

Chandrakant Gogri

Founder / Principal

Chandrakant Gogri is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Aarti Industries Limited (NSE: AARTIIND), one of India's largest and most diversified specialty chemicals groups with revenues exceeding ₹7,000 crore. He founded Aarti Industries in 1984 and built it into a globally competitive specialty chemicals platform with operations spanning benzene-based chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and surfactants. Through Alchemie Ventures, he deploys family office capital into high-growth mid-market companies aligned with India's industrial and energy transition. He has been vocal about India's solar energy opportunity, particularly the country's 300 GW by 2030 target.

Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Sagar Tanna is the Chief Investment Officer of Alchemie Ventures, responsible for deal sourcing, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management. He brings extensive experience in Indian equity markets, previously serving at Nuvama Wealth, Kotak Securities, and Motilal Oswal Financial Services. He holds an MBA from NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), Mumbai. He represents Alchemie Ventures on the board of portfolio companies including Prozeal Green, where he led the $4M Series A investment in 2023.
